This is what it looks like when you let go of a plane 4500 feet above the earth

Yes (in case you're looking closely at my face) I screamed. Wouldn't you?

See the little blue blob above my head? That's the pilot chute which the instructor releases while you exit the plane. It automatically ejects your main chute.

In case you've come late to this party, and don't know anything about how exciting my life was for that brief period of time, you can see the video here, or read about it here.

And now we go back to our regularly scheduled programming of soccer games, boring days at the office, endless loads of laundry, groggy midnight puke-cleaning-up duties, and all those other riveting moments in my life.

That is a perfect picture!! You look like this was all well worth it!

I flew to Vegas from the east coast last February and I was so amazed at how symmetical all the plats of land were in the heartland of America. Your picture captures that perfectly as well.

Wow! Looks exciting and a tad scary. Good on ya for facing your fear and doing it anyway.

My BIL has a photo exactly like yours, only he's pasted his body in the picture, with his own expression of anxiety!

I admire you for doing this - it took me 45 minutes to summon the courage to take the leap off a U-shaped waterslide a couple years back. Your fear must have been overwhelming!

Just popped over from Anvilcloud's page, noticed your comment on the Air Farce. I listened to it on radio for years as a kid. My Dad figured they had lost a lot of their good material when Trudeau retired!

I am SO damn ready to jump out of a plane. It's my turn! It's my turn! I have a seven year old who is afraid of rain ("rain means a tornado!"...go figure.

I have to keep reminding myself that seven is the age of fears.

So must be 48. I am fear ridden.

Which is why I need to jump out of a plane. Purge! Purge!

I hope you have that framed somewhere! That is an awesome picture, Heather!

I think I would have started screaming as soon as I got on the plane, if I ever even made it that far!
