A time for silence

For reasons I can't fully explain (not even to myself), I have decided that it's time for a little self-imposed online silence. I need to focus on a few other things right now, and I need to spend some time just being quiet and not caught up in the clutter that is the internet.

At this point, I don't know how long it will be, but I know that I will miss all of you so I expect that I will be back sooner or later.

(I'll still be checking email - those who wish to contact me are welcome to do so.)

"To everything there is a season
And a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace."
- Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Though I'll miss your writing (you're one of my favorites, even if I'm not good about commenting), I understand the need for silence. It's good for the soul.

May your time off-line be a peaceful one.

I'll miss your insightful thoughts but hope that this time off-line is good for you.

I understand; I've been spending far less time on here myself. In fact, right now I'm itching to get up (no reflection on you, dear).

Enjoy your time. I hope it's everything you need it to be.
